Remote Dispatcher - Logistics

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and organized Remote Dispatcher to manage the logistical coordination of their transportation services. Key Responsibilities

• Assign daily routes and schedules to drivers based on delivery requirements, driver availability, and vehicle capacity.
• Monitor driver progress in real-time using GPS tracking and communication tools.
• Respond promptly to driver inquiries, providing support and resolving any immediate operational issues.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery schedules, updates, and any potential delays.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of all dispatch activities, deliveries, and exceptions.
• Proactively identify and address potential logistical bottlenecks to ensure service efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role, preferably in transportation.
• Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and communication platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in fast-paced scenarios.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with drivers and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
