About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and communicative Remote Driver Coordinator to manage their delivery personnel and operations from a home-based setting. This pivotal role involves overseeing a team of drivers, ensuring efficient route planning, managing schedules, and acting as the primary point of contact for operational queries. You will leverage technology to monitor fleet activities, troubleshoot issues in real-time, and maintain high standards of service delivery across the Eastern Cape . Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily routes for a team of drivers, ensuring maximum efficiency and adherence to delivery timelines.
• Monitor driver activities, vehicle status, and delivery progress using real-time tracking software .
• Serve as the main point of contact for drivers, providing support, addressing concerns, and disseminating important information.
• Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, such as delays, route changes, or vehicle issues.
• Maintain accurate records of driver performance, delivery statistics, and operational data.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in driver coordination , dispatch, or logistics management.
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking, and remote communication tools .
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote setting.
