Remote E-Learning Content Developer - Sports Education

About the Role

Our client is a leader in online sports education and is seeking a creative and experienced Remote E-Learning Content Developer to design and produce engaging digital learning materials focused on sports science, coaching, and athlete development. Based operationally near Upington but working entirely remotely, you will leverage your expertise in instructional design and multimedia to create high-quality courses that cater to a global audience of athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts. This role demands a strong understanding of pedagogy, excellent writing skills, and proficiency in e-learning authoring tools to transform complex subjects into accessible and impactful online learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive e-learning courses, modules, and learning resources on various sports-related topics.
• Write clear, concise, and engaging learning content, including scripts, text, assessments, and facilitator guides.
• Utilize e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) to build and assemble multimedia learning experiences.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather information, validate content accuracy, and ensure pedagogical effectiveness.
• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and revisions to ensure timely completion of e-learning projects.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and best practices in e-learning development , instructional design, and digital education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education Technology, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in e-learning content development , with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
• Proficiency with industry-standard e-learning authoring tools and multimedia software.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE), and assessment strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for explaining complex concepts simply.
• Experience in sports science, coaching, or a related sports field is highly desirable.
