About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Early Childhood Educator to focus on curriculum development from their base in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal . This is a unique opportunity to shape the educational content and learning experiences for young children across our client's network, without the need for direct classroom supervision. You will be responsible for designing, creating, and refining engaging, age-appropriate curriculum materials, resources, and activities that promote holistic child development. This role requires a deep understanding of early learning principles, creativity in content creation, and the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting, contributing significantly to educational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop comprehensive, innovative, and age-appropriate curriculum frameworks and lesson plans for various age groups.
  • Create engaging educational resources, including digital content, activity sheets, and learning modules.
  • Research and incorporate best practices in early childhood education into curriculum design.
  • Ensure curriculum aligns with national and international educational standards and learning objectives.
  • Collaborate with remote teams, including instructional designers and subject matter experts, to refine and implement curriculum.
  • Develop assessment tools and methods to track child progress within the designed curriculum.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing educational curricula for young children.
  • Strong understanding of child development theories and pedagogy.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools for content development and collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
