About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Remote Early Intervention Specialist to join their expanding virtual support team, based out of Durban . This role is critical in providing vital support and developmental services to young children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families, all delivered through a secure online platform. You will conduct assessments, develop individualized intervention plans, and provide ongoing therapy and coaching to families, enabling them to support their child's progress from the comfort of their homes across KwaZulu-Natal and beyond. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive developmental assessments for infants and toddlers virtually.
- Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Deliver evidence-based early intervention services and therapeutic support via telehealth platforms.
- Provide coaching and training to parents and caregivers on strategies to support their child's development.
- Collaborate with other remote professionals, such as therapists and educators, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and progress notes.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, Developmental Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications and licensure as required for practice in South Africa.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early intervention services for children aged 0-3.
- Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and digital communication tools.
- Strong understanding of developmental milestones and disabilities in young children.
- Excellent empathetic communication and family support skills.
