Remote Educational Play Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and creative Remote Educational Play Specialist to design and deliver engaging virtual play-based learning experiences for children. This fully remote position is ideal for someone passionate about child development and leveraging digital tools to foster learning. You will create stimulating content and activities that can be delivered to families remotely, focusing on key developmental areas. This role involves developing curriculum outlines, creating resource guides, and potentially facilitating live online sessions. The target audience is families with young children, and the goal is to provide accessible, high-quality educational enrichment.

We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently, contributing to our client's mission of making early learning fun and effective, even from a distance, serving families across Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop creative, age-appropriate play-based learning activities and curriculum modules for remote delivery.
• Create engaging educational content, including worksheets, printable resources, and digital guides.
• Research and recommend age-appropriate toys, materials, and digital tools for children's development.
• Potentially facilitate live online play sessions or workshops for children and parents.
• Develop assessment tools to gauge children's engagement and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with the client's team to refine program content and delivery methods.
• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in early childhood education and digital learning.
• Provide guidance and support to parents on how to facilitate learning at home.
• Ensure all content is aligned with developmental milestones and educational objectives.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Demonstrable experience in designing and delivering educational programs for young children.
• Strong understanding of play-based learning methodologies and child development principles.
• Excellent creative and content creation skills (writing, graphic design basics are a plus).
• Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for online content delivery and communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• A passion for making learning engaging and accessible for young children.
• Home office setup with reliable internet access is required.
