About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Remote Electrical Automation Engineer to enhance their global engineering capabilities. This position is entirely remote, allowing you to leverage your expertise in automation and control systems from any location. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning automated systems that drive efficiency and innovation for our client's diverse range of products and processes. This role requires a self-starter with a strong technical background and excellent virtual collaboration skills, contributing to projects originating from the Limpopo region and impacting international markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
- Develop, test, and debug PLC code for various industrial control applications.
- Configure and commission robotic systems and automated machinery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues in a remote support capacity.
- Ensure automation systems comply with safety standards and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams via online platforms to define project needs and provide support.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
- Experience with industrial networks and communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety principles for automated systems.
- Excellent remote communication and problem-solving skills.
