About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Electrical Engineer with expertise in Grid Integration to join their distributed team, serving projects primarily in the Rustenburg region and beyond. This role is critical for ensuring the stable and efficient connection of renewable energy sources to the national grid. You will leverage your technical knowledge to solve complex challenges related to grid stability, power quality, and system performance, all while working remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze grid system requirements and develop technical specifications for renewable energy interconnection.

- Collaborate with grid operators, utility companies, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with national grid codes, standards, and interconnection agreements.
- Provide technical support and expertise to project development and construction teams remotely.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems engineering, with a focus on grid interconnection of renewable energy.
- Proficiency with power system simulation software such as PSS/E, ETAP, or PSCAD.
- Strong understanding of grid codes, transmission systems, and renewable energy technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setting.
