About the Role
Our client is seeking a specialized and experienced Remote Electrical Engineer focusing on Power Systems to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere. You will be instrumental in the design, analysis, and optimization of high-performance power systems that are critical to our client's operations. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of power generation, distribution, and protection, with a proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution components.
- Perform detailed load flow analysis , short circuit calculations, and transient stability studies.
- Specify and select appropriate equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and protective relays.
- Ensure compliance with national and international power system standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project teams, utilities, and stakeholders to integrate power systems seamlessly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to power system performance and reliability.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- 7+ years of experience in the design and analysis of electrical power systems.
- Proficiency in power system simulation software such as PSS/E, ETAP, or PSCAD.
- Thorough understanding of protection schemes , grid codes, and power quality.
- Experience with renewable energy integration is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills for remote collaboration.
