About the Role

This position is critical for overseeing and guiding complex electrical installation projects across various industrial and commercial sites from a remote location. You will be responsible for ensuring installations adhere to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with electrical codes and regulations. This role requires an expert eye for detail, deep knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to effectively communicate technical instructions and assessments to on-site teams. Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert remote guidance and oversight for electrical installations, including power distribution, control systems, and lighting.
• Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with electrical codes and industry standards.
• Conduct remote inspections and quality assurance checks of completed electrical work, identifying any deviations or deficiencies.
• Collaborate with on-site installation teams, project managers, and engineers to resolve technical issues and provide solutions.
• Develop and implement remote monitoring strategies for critical electrical systems during and after installation.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical problems encountered during installation and commissioning phases.
• Ensure all installations meet stringent safety requirements and company protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and any corrective actions taken.
• Advise on best practices for electrical system design and installation to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of installation standards and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation and project management.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., SANS, NEC, IEC).
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing a wide range of electrical issues.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information remotely.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with relevant design and diagnostic software.
• Experience with industrial control systems and automation is highly desirable.
• Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
