About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Equipment Calibration Specialist to join their fully remote team, supporting operations based in Tembisa, Gauteng. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise calibration and validation of sophisticated diagnostic equipment used by field technicians, ensuring accuracy and reliability from a distance. You will work independently, leveraging advanced remote access tools and communication platforms to guide on-site personnel and conduct remote diagnostics and adjustments. Key Responsibilities

• Perform remote calibration and validation of various technical equipment using specialized software and diagnostic tools.
• Analyze performance data and identify potential issues or deviations from required specifications.
• Provide remote technical guidance and support to field technicians requiring assistance with equipment setup and operation.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation of calibration procedures, results, and any required adjustments.
• Troubleshoot remote connectivity and software issues impacting calibration processes.
• Stay updated on equipment firmware updates and new calibration methodologies.

Requirements

• A strong background in electronics, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in equipment calibration, maintenance, or technical support, preferably with exposure to remote diagnostics.
• Proficiency with calibration software and diagnostic tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical instructions remotely.
• Experience with remote access tools and secure network protocols.
