Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement machine learning models for predictive targeting of mineral deposits using diverse geological datasets.
• Perform advanced statistical analysis on exploration data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential high-value areas.
• Design and build data pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and transforming large, complex datasets from various sources.
• Visualize exploration data and model results to communicate key findings effectively to geologists and management.
• Collaborate with exploration geologists and geophysicists to define data requirements and analytical approaches.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and their applications in mineral exploration.

Requirements

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in data science roles, with a strong preference for experience in the geoscience or mining industry .
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, and libraries for data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent data visualization skills and experience with tools like Tableau or Power BI.
