About the Role

We are looking for a candidate with a profound understanding of geochemical processes, sampling methodologies, and the statistical analysis of geochemical data, with a particular focus on precious and base metals. Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee geochemical sampling programs (e.g., soil, stream sediment, rock chip, biogeochemical) for mineral exploration projects worldwide.
• Manage and interpret large geochemical datasets using statistical and spatial analysis techniques.
• Develop and refine exploration models based on geochemical signatures and geological context.
• Liaise with contract laboratories to ensure the quality and integrity of analytical results.
• Evaluate and select appropriate analytical techniques and methodologies for various exploration targets.
• Prepare detailed geochemical reports, technical memorandums, and presentations for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Provide expert geochemical advice to multidisciplinary exploration teams, including geologists and geophysicists.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in exploration geochemistry and contribute to the adoption of new technologies and methods.
• Assist in the technical review of exploration proposals and project plans.
• Collaborate with remote colleagues across different continents, ensuring seamless project execution.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geochemistry, Economic Geology, or a related earth science discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in mineral exploration geochemistry, with a strong emphasis on designing and interpreting exploration programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in statistical analysis and geostatistical modeling of geochemical data (e.g., using R, Python, ioGAS, ArcGIS, or similar software).
• Proven experience with various geochemical sampling techniques and their application in different geological settings.
• Solid understanding of mineral deposit types and their associated geochemical dispersion halos.
• Experience working with international exploration projects and diverse geological environments.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with a globally dispersed team.
• Must have reliable high-speed internet access and a suitable home office environment.
