Remote Exploration Geologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Remote Exploration Geologist to join their forward-thinking exploration team. This role is designed for a self-starter who can contribute significantly to identifying and evaluating new mineral prospects from a remote location, supporting projects across various global regions, including those in the vicinity of Sandton. You will be responsible for the interpretation of geological data, the design of exploration programs, and the analysis of results to guide strategic investment in future mining assets. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while engaging with a collaborative team of geoscientists and management, driving the discovery pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze geological, geophysical, and geochemical data to identify potential mineral targets.
• Design and manage remote exploration programs, including data acquisition strategies and logistical planning.
• Interpret results from drilling, sampling, and surveys to define the extent and grade of mineral deposits.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for exploration projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including geologists, geophysicists, and management.
• Stay abreast of new exploration technologies and methodologies to enhance discovery success.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology or a related earth science field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mineral exploration geology, with a proven track record of discoveries.
• Proficiency in geological interpretation software and databases.
• Strong understanding of various deposit types and exploration techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
• Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
