Remote Exploration Geologist - Data Analysis

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly analytical Remote Exploration Geologist to join their forward-thinking exploration team. This role will focus heavily on the interpretation and integration of geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to identify and prioritize new exploration targets globally. As a key member of a distributed team, you will utilize advanced software and databases to drive discovery efforts without the need for on-site fieldwork. Key Responsibilities

• Acquire, manage, and interpret diverse exploration datasets including geological maps, assay results, and geophysical surveys.
• Develop and refine geological models based on integrated data analysis to define potential mineral deposits.
• Utilize GIS and specialized geological software for data visualization, spatial analysis, and target generation.
• Collaborate closely with senior geologists and exploration managers to contribute to strategic exploration planning.
• Prepare technical summaries, presentations, and reports on exploration progress and target recommendations.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in geological data analysis techniques and exploration technologies.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related field with a strong emphasis on data analysis.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mineral exploration , with a significant focus on data integration and interpretation.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as ArcGIS, Leapfrog, ioGAS, or similar.
• Solid understanding of geochemistry , geophysics, and structural geology principles.
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights.
• Proven ability to work effectively and communicate complex geological concepts in a remote environment.
