Remote Exploration Manager - Mineral Discovery

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Remote Exploration Manager to lead their mineral discovery initiatives. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to manage exploration programs remotely, complemented by essential on-site visits to project areas and key stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying new exploration targets, designing and executing exploration strategies, and overseeing geological teams in their pursuit of valuable mineral resources. Your leadership will drive the company's growth pipeline, ensuring the discovery and delineation of economically viable deposits through innovative exploration techniques and effective remote team management within the North West province's dynamic geological setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic exploration plans to identify and evaluate new mineral prospects.
• Oversee all aspects of exploration programs, including geological mapping, sampling, geophysical surveys, and drilling campaigns.
• Manage exploration budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
• Interpret exploration data and geological models to define targets and prioritize exploration activities.
• Lead and mentor a team of geologists and field technicians, fostering a culture of safety and technical excellence.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including government agencies, joint venture partners, and senior management, on exploration progress and findings.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geology or a related geoscience field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration, with a proven track record of successful discoveries.
• Strong understanding of exploration techniques, project management, and geological modeling.
• Experience in managing budgets and leading exploration teams, preferably in a remote or distributed setting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel for essential on-site project reviews and meetings.
