About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Remote Farm Management Consultant to provide strategic advice and operational support to farms across South Africa. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to work from anywhere while advising clients on optimizing their operations. You will leverage your expertise in agribusiness, finance, and production management to help farms improve profitability, efficiency, and sustainability. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can deliver high-impact recommendations and guidance virtually, driving positive change in the agricultural sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of farm operations, including financial performance, production efficiency, and resource allocation.
• Develop customized farm management plans, including strategic, financial, and operational recommendations.
• Advise clients on best practices in crop production, livestock management, and supply chain optimization.
• Assist farms in implementing technology solutions, such as farm management software and precision agriculture tools.
• Provide guidance on risk management, regulatory compliance, and market access strategies.
• Deliver remote consulting services, including virtual meetings, reports, and data analysis.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Farm Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in farm management, agricultural consulting, or agribusiness.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and investment analysis in agriculture.
• Expertise in crop and/or livestock production systems and operational efficiency.
• Proven ability to analyze complex agricultural data and provide strategic recommendations.
• Excellent remote communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
