Remote Financial Analyst - Mining Sector

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Analyze monthly financial results, investigate variances, and provide explanations to management.
• Prepare financial reports, presentations, and ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership .
• Assist in the evaluation of capital expenditure proposals and investment opportunities.
• Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators relevant to the mining sector .
• Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setup .
