Key Responsibilities • Design and manage the legal infrastructure for Deel’s global payments operations • Provide strategic legal guidance on payments products, regulatory obligations, and licensing • Act as the key legal partner to product and compliance teams, embedding risk management into innovation • Create and maintain scalable legal and compliance processes • Monitor and interpret global legal and regulatory developments impacting payments • Support the international movement of employees for business travel • Collaborate with external counsel and cross-regional internal teams Desired Skills and Experience • Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with at least 1–2 years in payments, fintech, lending, or banking • JD, LLB, LLM, or equivalent legal qualification • Fluency in English (additional languages a plus) • Experience navigating regulated industries and advising on legal frameworks • Ability to distill complex legal matters into clear, actionable advice • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset • Effective communicator and team collaborator across global regions • Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth environments Rewards & Benefits At Deel, we believe in fair and inclusive compensation.
