About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Fleet Dispatcher & Coordinator to manage their transportation logistics from a home-based setting. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods, requiring seamless coordination with drivers, clients, and operational teams. You will be responsible for optimizing routes, monitoring fleet performance, and resolving logistical challenges in real-time. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced environment, possesses exceptional communication skills, and is adept at utilizing technology to manage complex logistical operations remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispatch and coordinate drivers and vehicles for optimal route planning and delivery schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and support.
- Monitor vehicle locations and shipment progress using advanced tracking and dispatch software.
- Proactively identify and resolve any logistical disruptions or issues that may impact delivery times.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver performance, and operational metrics.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fleet dispatching or logistics coordination, ideally within a remote setup.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS) and real-time GPS tracking technologies.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of self-discipline and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and driver management principles.
