Remote Fleet Maintenance Coordinator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Remote Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to manage and oversee the maintenance schedules for their extensive fleet, supporting operations that include Soweto . This fully remote role requires proactive planning and coordination to ensure all vehicles are maintained efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and operational costs. You will be instrumental in coordinating with service centers, technicians, and internal stakeholders to streamline maintenance processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of fleet management principles in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for the entire fleet of vehicles.
• Coordinate and book vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections with approved third-party vendors and internal service teams.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, service history, costs, and vehicle statuses in the fleet management system.
• Monitor vehicle performance and identify trends or recurring issues to proactively address potential problems.
• Manage parts inventory for routine maintenance and coordinate procurement as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to vehicle maintenance and safety standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet maintenance coordination or a similar logistics/operations role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and the principles of fleet management.
• Proficiency with fleet management software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors and internal teams remotely.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in a remote work environment.
