About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Remote Fleet Manager to lead their transportation fleet operations, working remotely from Richards Bay . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the efficient management of our vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance, cost-effectiveness, and optimal performance. You will oversee fleet maintenance, driver management, route optimization, and regulatory compliance from a remote setting. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the company's transportation fleet, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement fleet maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure vehicle safety.
• Manage driver recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance monitoring remotely.
• Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national transportation regulations and safety standards.
• Optimize routing and delivery schedules to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
• Manage relationships with third-party service providers, including maintenance and repair shops.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet management or transportation logistics.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fleet maintenance, DOT regulations, and safety protocols.
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and operations effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in budget management.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and GPS tracking systems.
