About the Role

Our client is seeking a data-driven and analytical Remote Fleet Operations Analyst to support their national transportation network, based remotely to serve operations near Bloemfontein . This role is critical for evaluating fleet performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and recommending strategic improvements. You will leverage advanced analytics tools to interpret complex data, generate insightful reports, and collaborate with operations teams to implement data-backed solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze fleet telematics, fuel consumption, maintenance records, and driver behavior data to identify trends and anomalies.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet utilization, costs, and safety.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through route optimization, fuel efficiency initiatives, and preventative maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with fleet managers and operational teams to implement data-driven recommendations and monitor their impact.
• Conduct research on new technologies and best practices in fleet management to recommend innovative solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all fleet-related systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Logistics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R.
• Experience with fleet management software and telematics systems is a strong advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
