Remote Fleet Operations Analyst - Data Driven Optimization

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Remote Fleet Operations Analyst to join their team, ideally based near Upington . This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and cost savings through data analysis within the fleet operations. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to vehicle performance, fuel consumption, maintenance, and driver behavior, all performed from a remote location. The ideal candidate is adept at using data to identify trends, recommend improvements, and support strategic decision-making in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to fleet operations, including fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, and utilization, from a remote base.
• Develop reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational trends.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements within the fleet.
• Provide data-driven recommendations to management regarding fleet modernization, maintenance strategies, and route optimization.
• Monitor driver performance data to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather data and implement operational changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within the transportation or fleet management industry.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple analytical projects in a remote setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings.
