About the Role

Our client is seeking a specialized and highly discreet Remote Forensic Accountant to join their team. This fully remote position requires a sharp, investigative mind capable of analyzing complex financial data to detect fraud, financial misconduct, and other irregularities. You will work on sensitive cases, providing expert analysis and evidence for legal proceedings or internal investigations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working independently from a remote location.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed financial investigations into suspected fraud, embezzlement, and financial irregularities.
• Analyze financial records, transaction trails, and electronic data to uncover evidence of financial misconduct.
• Prepare comprehensive forensic accounting reports detailing findings, methodologies, and supporting evidence.
• Assist legal counsel by providing expert witness testimony and support during litigation.
• Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies and controls.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders as required.

Requirements

• Professional qualification such as CA(SA) or CPA, with a specialization in Forensic Accounting (e.g., CFE certification).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigation, or litigation support.
• Proficiency in forensic accounting software and data analytics tools.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, fraud schemes, and investigative techniques.
• Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively remotely .
