About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Forest Resource Manager for a fully remote position. You will be responsible for the sustainable management, conservation, and utilization of forest resources across various geographical areas.

This role demands a strategic approach to forest planning, ecological assessment, and regulatory compliance, utilizing advanced mapping and data analysis tools.

Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement long-term forest management plans that balance ecological, economic, and social objectives. • Conduct ecological assessments, biodiversity surveys, and risk analyses for forest areas. • Oversee sustainable harvesting operations, reforestation efforts, and land rehabilitation projects. • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations, permits, and forestry standards. • Utilize GIS and remote sensing technologies for forest inventory, monitoring, and spatial analysis.

Requirements • Master's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field with a strong emphasis on forest management. • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in forest resource management, planning, and operations. • Proficiency in forest inventory techniques, GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), and remote sensing data analysis. • Deep understanding of forest ecology, silviculture, and sustainable forestry principles. • Excellent project management, analytical, and report-writing skills, suitable for a remote work environment.
