About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote Freight Forwarder to manage international and domestic shipments for their business needs, operating entirely from a remote location to support operations linked to Paarl .
Key Responsibilities
• Arrange and manage international and domestic freight shipments via air, sea, and land.
• Negotiate competitive rates with airlines, shipping lines, and trucking companies.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure smooth clearance of goods.
• Track shipments and provide clients with regular status updates.
• Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transit.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
• In-depth knowledge of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international trade.
• Proficiency with freight forwarding software and TMS platforms.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize effectively in a remote setting.
