About the Role Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Freight Operations Specialist to join their global logistics team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to our international freight operations from the comfort of your home office.

You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods across borders, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a proven track record in international freight forwarding and supply chain management, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and manage international freight shipments, including air, sea, and land transportation. • Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth transit. • Track shipments, proactively identify and resolve potential delays or issues, and communicate status updates to stakeholders. • Ensure compliance with all relevant international trade regulations , customs requirements, and documentation. • Optimize freight costs and transit times through effective planning and carrier negotiations. • Maintain accurate records of all freight transactions and update the transport management system accordingly.

Requirements • 5+ years of experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management. • In-depth knowledge of shipping regulations , customs procedures, and Incoterms. • Proven experience working remotely and managing a diverse range of logistics tasks independently. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant logistics software. • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field is preferred.
