Remote Geoscientist - Seismic Interpretation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Geoscientist specializing in Seismic Interpretation to join their fully remote exploration team. This role is crucial for identifying and evaluating potential hydrocarbon reserves by analyzing vast amounts of seismic data. You will work independently from your chosen location, collaborating virtually with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other geoscientists to support exploration and development projects. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive seismic data interpretation and mapping to identify prospects and play concepts.
• Integrate seismic data with well logs, core data, and other geological information.
• Utilize advanced geological and geophysical software for data processing and visualization.
• Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to de-risk exploration opportunities.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for management and joint venture partners.
• Contribute to the development of regional geological models and play fairway analyses.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in seismic interpretation, with a strong focus on Oil & Gas exploration.
• Proficiency with industry-standard seismic interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite).
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Excellent analytical skills and a thorough understanding of structural and stratigraphic interpretation techniques.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for virtual collaboration.
