Remote Health and Safety Officer - Mining

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety management systems for mining operations.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
• Develop and deliver health and safety training programs to employees at all levels.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health and safety performance.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the mining industry .
• Thorough knowledge of South African mining health and safety legislation (e.g., MHSA).
• Excellent auditing, investigation, and reporting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, effective for remote collaboration .
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively from a remote location.
