About the Role Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Remote HR Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to all relevant labor laws and regulations across their operations, which are significantly based in Pretoria, though the role is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain robust HR compliance programs and policies. • Conduct regular audits of HR practices and documentation to ensure adherence to legal requirements and company standards. • Monitor changes in South African labor laws and regulations, advising the organization on necessary adjustments. • Investigate and resolve compliance issues and employee grievances with fairness and objectivity. • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports to government agencies. • Provide training and guidance to HR staff and management on compliance best practices and legal obligations.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR compliance, labor law, or a related field, preferably with remote work experience. • In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, and OHSA. • Experience in conducting HR audits and risk assessments. • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex legal texts. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly. • Law degree, HR degree, or equivalent professional qualification.
