Remote HR Compliance Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable HR Compliance Specialist to join their fully remote team, ensuring adherence to all relevant labor laws and regulations across their operations, with a focus on supporting teams connected to Benoni . This critical role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring HR policies and procedures to maintain legal compliance and mitigate risks. You will be responsible for staying abreast of legislative changes, conducting audits, and providing guidance to internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with South African labor laws.
• Conduct regular internal audits of HR practices, payroll, and record-keeping to identify and rectify non-compliance issues.
• Monitor changes in labor legislation and advise the business on necessary adjustments to policies and practices.
• Manage the administration of employee contracts, ensuring they meet all legal requirements.
• Investigate and resolve compliance-related employee concerns and grievances.
• Provide training and guidance to HR staff and management on compliance matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in HR compliance or employment law.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, OH&S Act, etc.).
• Experience in conducting HR audits and developing compliance programs.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for remote collaboration.
