Remote HR Generalist - Compliance Focus

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Remote HR Generalist with a focus on compliance to join their fully remote team. This role will be critical in ensuring that all HR practices and policies adhere to current South African labor laws and regulations, as well as internal company standards. You will provide expert guidance on compliance matters, conduct audits, and develop strategies to mitigate risks, supporting employees and management remotely across all operational areas. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure comprehensive compliance with South African labor law, BCEA, LRA, EEA, and other relevant legislation.
• Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to maintain compliance across the organization.
• Conduct regular HR audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to management and employees on compliance-related issues and best practices in a remote setting.
• Manage employee relations issues with a strong emphasis on fair process and legal adherence.
• Stay abreast of changes in labor legislation and advise the organization accordingly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with a significant focus on HR compliance and employee relations.
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices.
• Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to conduct HR audits and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant HR qualification (e.g., LLB, Post-graduate Diploma in HR) is highly desirable.
