Remote HSE Advisor - Global Oil & Gas Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to join their global operations team, working entirely remotely from anywhere. This role is crucial for supporting and enhancing their Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems across various international Oil & Gas projects . You will provide expert advice, conduct remote audits, develop policies, and contribute to fostering a robust safety culture across dispersed teams. This is a unique opportunity for a safety professional to make a significant impact without geographical constraints, working from Upington or any preferred location.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote advisory support on HSE matters to project teams and operational sites globally.
• Develop, review, and update HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct remote audits and assessments of project sites and operational facilities.
• Analyze HSE performance data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Develop and deliver virtual HSE training and awareness programs.
• Support incident investigation processes and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies on HSE compliance matters.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry .
• Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
• Strong knowledge of international HSE regulations and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, particularly in a virtual setting.
• Proficiency in using digital collaboration tools and platforms for remote work.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
