Remote Human Resources Generalist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and versatile Human Resources Generalist to join their fully remote team, supporting operations primarily based in Cape Town . This role is critical for managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting employees across various locations, and contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives. You will be instrumental in fostering a cohesive and productive remote work culture, handling a broad range of HR functions from recruitment to employee support and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive HR support to employees and managers in a remote environment, addressing queries and concerns.
• Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless remote experience.
• Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with relevant legislation.
• Support employee relations, performance management, and professional development initiatives.
• Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and systems for a distributed workforce.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
• Solid understanding of South African labor law and HR best practices, adaptable to remote work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in virtual communication tools.
• Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and standard office software.
