About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote Industrial Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated control systems for their manufacturing facilities worldwide. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute your expertise from your home office. You will be responsible for programming PLCs, designing HMI interfaces, and ensuring the seamless integration of automated systems to enhance production efficiency, safety, and reliability. Your work will be critical in modernizing our manufacturing processes and driving innovation across our global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automation systems.
- Develop and implement HMI (Human-Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
- Specify and integrate industrial control hardware, including sensors, drives, and robotics.
- Provide remote technical support and guidance to on-site maintenance and engineering teams.
- Ensure all automation solutions meet safety standards, operational requirements, and efficiency goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Significant experience in industrial automation, PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), and HMI development.
- Knowledge of robotics, VFDs, and industrial networking protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills for remote project management.
