About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer for a fully remote position focused on operations analysis, supporting their business functions related to Sandton. This role is essential for dissecting complex operational challenges, identifying areas of inefficiency, and developing data-driven solutions to enhance productivity and performance across various departments. You will leverage your analytical expertise and industrial engineering principles to drive improvements, working autonomously and collaborating virtually with teams. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of existing business operations, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for cost savings.
  • Develop and utilize analytical models, simulations, and statistical tools to evaluate operational performance and predict outcomes.
  • Design and document improved processes, workflows, and system configurations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to gather data, communicate findings, and facilitate the implementation of recommendations.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations summarizing analytical findings and proposing actionable solutions to senior management.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the impact of implemented changes and ensure continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial engineering, operations analysis, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in a fully remote work environment, with excellent self-management and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SQL, Python, R), simulation tools, and statistical packages.
  • Deep understanding of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and their application.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
