Remote Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Remote Information Security Architect to lead the design and implementation of our global security infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be responsible for creating robust, scalable, and secure architectural solutions that protect our company's data and systems from evolving cyber threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security, network architecture, and data protection strategies, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our security posture, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in a dynamic, distributed work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect secure enterprise-level solutions, focusing on cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments.
• Develop and document security blueprints, standards, and best practices for the organization.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and methodologies to enhance our defense capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business teams to ensure security is integrated into the entire system lifecycle.
• Lead threat modeling exercises and risk assessments for new and existing systems.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices, compliance requirements, and incident response strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in information security architecture and design.
• Proven expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing hybrid environments.
• Deep understanding of network security, cryptography, identity and access management (IAM), and data loss prevention (DLP).
• Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
• Excellent technical communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with distributed teams.
