About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent and self-motivated Remote Infrastructure Design Engineer to join their progressive engineering team. In this fully remote position, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust infrastructure solutions, including utilities, transportation networks, and site development projects, from the comfort of your own location. You will collaborate closely with a distributed project team, leveraging advanced digital tools and communication platforms to deliver exceptional results. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who excels in a remote work environment and is passionate about creating sustainable and efficient infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design of civil infrastructure components, such as water, sewer, stormwater, and road systems.
- Utilize advanced CAD and BIM software for design, modeling, and documentation.
- Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies, and prepare technical reports and specifications.
- Ensure designs adhere to all relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and clients through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase via remote communication channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil infrastructure design.
- Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design software.
- Proven experience working effectively in a remote team setting.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for remote collaboration and client interaction.
