Remote Installation & Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Remote Installation & Maintenance Engineer to support their growing customer base from anywhere. This position focuses on providing high-level technical support, remote diagnostics, and guidance for the installation and upkeep of sophisticated systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring seamless deployment and continued optimal performance of our client's products, remotely assisting clients and field teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of installation processes and maintenance best practices, comfortable working autonomously in a remote-first setup.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert remote technical consultation for the installation and configuration of complex equipment.
• Perform remote diagnostics and troubleshooting to resolve installation and maintenance issues efficiently.
• Develop and document best practice guides for installation procedures and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with field technicians and customer success teams to ensure successful project deployments and ongoing support.
• Analyze system performance data to identify potential problems and recommend proactive solutions.
• Stay current with product updates and technical advancements to provide the most effective remote support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in installation and maintenance engineering, with a strong emphasis on remote support.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues with complex electro-mechanical or software systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
• Experience with remote monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a virtual environment.
