Key Responsibilities
- Receive, log, and acknowledge new insurance claims accurately and promptly.
- Verify policy coverage and assess the validity of claims according to policy terms and conditions.
- Communicate effectively with claimants, providing updates and explaining the claims process.
- Gather necessary documentation and information to support claim assessment.
- Process payments for approved claims and handle inquiries related to claim status.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records in the system.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Claims Handler or in a customer service role within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles and claims handling procedures.
- Excellent communication, listening, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in using claims management software and standard office tools.
- Ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
