About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and analytical Remote Inventory Management Specialist to join their operations team. This position is fully remote and will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory levels across various manufacturing and distribution points. You will leverage your expertise in inventory control systems and data analysis to ensure accuracy, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and operational efficiency of our manufacturing business , ensuring that resources are managed effectively and strategically from a distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels across all locations, ensuring accuracy through regular audits.
- Analyze inventory data to forecast demand, identify trends, and optimize stock levels.
- Collaborate virtually with procurement, production, and sales teams to align inventory with business needs.
- Manage stock control systems and ensure data integrity within the ERP.
- Identify opportunities to reduce carrying costs and minimize waste or obsolescence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in inventory management , preferably within a manufacturing or retail environment.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective remote teamwork.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a remote setting.
