Remote IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Remote IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage and maintain their distributed IT infrastructure. This role is entirely remote, supporting a dynamic organization with critical systems deployed across various locations. You will be responsible for server administration, network management, cloud services, and ensuring the overall stability and security of the IT environment. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration and maintenance of server environments (physical and virtual), including Windows and Linux systems.

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) for performance, cost, and security.

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and connectivity solutions.

• Develop and execute robust backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.

• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to prevent downtime.

• Provide advanced remote technical support for complex IT infrastructure challenges.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as an IT Infrastructure Specialist or similar senior role, with a proven track record in remote management.

• Deep understanding of server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and cloud platforms.

• Expertise in network design, security, and administration (TCP/IP, routing, switching, firewalls).

• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools for infrastructure management.
