Remote IT Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Remote IT Network Administrator to manage and maintain their network infrastructure. This is a fully remote position, offering the opportunity to work from anywhere while ensuring the seamless operation of our client's digital backbone. You will be responsible for network design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including intrusion detection/prevention systems and access controls.
• Troubleshoot network issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Manage network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and IP addressing schemes.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and security best practices for remote network management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, with a focus on network infrastructure.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and VLANs.
• Experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
• Proficiency in network security principles and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote capacity, supporting users globally.
