Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Design Release Engineer (DRE) – Chassis Suspension to join our engineering team. In this role, you will support the end-to-end design, development, validation, and release of chassis suspension components and assemblies (e.g., control arms, springs, dampers, bushings, sway bars, and knuckles).

This is a remote position based in Mexico, but it requires flexibility to travel to plant sites and engineering centers in Saltillo, Toluca, or Santa Fe (CDMX) for cross-functional alignment, build support, and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Component Release: Assist in managing the CAD modeling, drafting standards, and release process (BOM maintenance, engineering changes, and part release) within PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Enovia).
  • Design & Development: Work with senior engineers and suppliers to evaluate suspension components for packaging, durability, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness), clearance, and serviceability.
  • Supplier & Assembly Support: Coordinate with tier-1 suppliers and local manufacturing facilities in Saltillo, Toluca, or Santa Fe to resolve build issues, design discrepancies, and quality concerns.
  • Testing & Validation: Support the development of DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report) and monitor component testing (bench, rig, and vehicle-level).
  • Root Cause Analysis: Participate in 8D, DFMEA, and quality investigations to address manufacturing or field issues related to chassis components.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with purchasing, quality, vehicle integration, and plant launch teams to ensure components meet timing, cost, and weight targets.
