About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Lead Construction Scheduler to contribute to their high-profile projects across South Africa, particularly those in the Limpopo region. This fully remote position requires an expert in construction planning and scheduling, responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing complex project timelines. You will collaborate closely with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to schedules, identify potential risks, and implement proactive solutions to maintain project momentum. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned scheduler to leverage their expertise remotely and make a significant impact on project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain master project schedules using advanced planning software (e.g., Primavera P6).
  • Analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to create detailed and logical construction sequences.
  • Monitor project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying deviations and forecasting impacts on completion dates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to gather schedule updates and resolve discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement strategies for schedule risk management and mitigation.
  • Prepare regular, comprehensive schedule reports and presentations for senior management and project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, with significant time spent in a lead or senior role.
  • Expert proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other relevant scheduling software.
  • In-depth understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and resource allocation across various project types.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex project data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration.
  • Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
