About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Remote Lead HSE Manager to oversee and drive their Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives across global operations. This position is crucial for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust HSE management systems that ensure compliance with international standards and promote a strong safety culture. Working entirely remotely, you will lead a team of HSE professionals, conduct risk assessments, develop safety strategies, and foster a proactive approach to risk mitigation in the oil and gas industry . The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, extensive knowledge of HSE regulations, and a proven track record in managing safety programs in complex, distributed environments.

This role offers the autonomy of remote work coupled with the challenge of safeguarding global operations and driving continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies , procedures, and management systems.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of HSE professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to identify potential hazards and compliance gaps.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs to all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee incident investigation processes, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE management , with significant experience in the oil and gas sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of international HSE standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience in leading risk management processes and developing safety-critical procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities, ideally demonstrated in a remote work setting.
