Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee long-term and short-term mine plans, including production schedules, resource allocation, and cost forecasting.
• Lead and mentor a team of mining engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance remote work environment.
• Conduct feasibility studies, mine design reviews, and risk assessments for new and existing projects.
• Implement and monitor best practices in mine safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency across all sites.
• Utilize advanced mine planning software and simulation tools to optimize extraction methods and maximize resource utilization.
• Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated mine operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mining engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated expertise in open-pit and/or underground mining methods and associated planning techniques.
• Proficiency with leading mine planning and design software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Strong understanding of mine economics, project management, and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, adapted for remote collaboration.
