About the Role

Our client, a leading telehealth provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Lead Podiatrist & Foot Care Specialist to serve patients virtually across South Africa , including the Northern Cape region. This role focuses on diagnosing and treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions through remote consultations, offering expert advice, and coordinating care plans. You will play a crucial role in expanding access to specialized podiatric care in underserved areas, utilizing cutting-edge telehealth technology. This is a pioneering opportunity for a skilled podiatrist to lead in the digital health space.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote diagnostic assessments of foot and ankle conditions via video consultations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans, including prescribing medication and recommending therapies.
• Provide expert advice on foot health, biomechanics, injury prevention, and orthotic solutions.
• Interpret diagnostic imaging and test results remotely to inform treatment decisions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of telehealth protocols for podiatry services.

Requirements

• A valid and unrestricted Podiatry license in South Africa.
• A minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in Podiatry, with a strong understanding of diverse conditions.
• Proven experience with or a strong aptitude for telehealth and remote patient management.
• Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to make sound clinical judgments remotely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with empathy for patients.
