Remote Lead Software Engineer (FinTech)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable software solutions for our core financial platform.
• Architect and implement microservices-based systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and deliverables.
• Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
• Drive innovation by researching and evaluating new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Champion security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in architectural discussions and decision-making processes for new features and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion in lead or senior engineering roles.
• Expertise in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and frameworks (e.g., Django, Spring Boot, React).
• Proven experience designing and building scalable, distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and caching mechanisms.
• Familiarity with FinTech concepts and blockchain technology is a strong plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a remote, agile development environment.
• Experience with TDD, BDD, and CI/CD practices.
